I think America is great. Good things come from the US, everyday I see great bravery from American citizens as well as strives to better the world. This girl though, and the PR surrounding her, US TV crews cheered at her release. Meredith Kercher is still dead and answers should be sought, Knox should not be allowed to leave Italy, not yet. |
The sad thing is that, to the media, events like this equal ratings. People are going to tune in to see Nancy Grace be outraged by the events and watch the ladies on "The View" jiggle their neck fat in disapproval. Tragedy gets attention. I don't know enough about the case to tell whether or not Amanda Knox is guily (I always thought she was--and there's been at least one TV movie based on this story--got good ratings, I hear). Someone in this thread said she was innocent. I don't know.
If there's any question about Knox's guilt or innocence, I agree that she needs to stay in Italy. But that's up to the Itallian government, isn't it? And I gather she was found innocent over there. If she's guilty, fuck her. Let her rot. If she's not, let her go.
