To be honest just go to the far, far distant future where all the speculative technology is real.

I wouldn't do that, eventually you'll want to return to the the present because of family/friends or whatever, and it'll suck knowing that the future is so much better or so much worse. I would just mess with my own past and the present. Seeing the future could make the present a little boring or pointless.

Actual virtual reality that works >>> whole family. I'd just have an AI reconstruct their personality.

I hate my present anyway.
