Thats true but you could make a database were you safe all the informations. Let programmers work out a system for billions of dollars and take it back in time. Still wouldnt be perfect but it could help you a llitle.


Also define a safe point in time you wont pass. Like your 18 Birthday. Before that nothing is changed and you will always be able to reset the world by coming back to that point.

The database appears to rely on trial an error, and then making a record of what happens. That approach can't work because of the myriad variables.

A safe point can only work if time is, in fact, linear. I prefer to think of time as being spherical, instead of linear. In this senario, it becomes possible for events that occur in the "future" to alter those that occur in the "past." That's why it's too dangerous; without a true understanding of the nature of time, you're stumbling blindly.

The database would rely on data gathered from trial and error but it would work more like a supercomputer that tries to predict the weather. Sure with massive flaws but it could still warn you from eventually occouring unwanted scenarios. Thats why I wrote: "help a litlle" Sure thats true but you could go in the far future to find out how time really is. Just gathering the Informations wouldnt be that threatening. After you knew how the nature of time is you could act accordingly. A spherical time is unlikely it looks more like an endless expanding dimension. Also even if time is a loop you get a reset always through Big Bang so future actions would never affect the past. But if the timelines split everytime there is a decision made like the quantum theory says you would only switch between timelines but everything you did has consequences on another timeline and even though you cant experience it the damage is done somewhere. Ofcourse this would change my behaviour. But I would still use the ability for trivial things like passing tests avoiding mistaked etc. Also you wouldnt actually change anything just experience a timeline thats established anyway. It all comes down to what time really is.
