So who's going to buy Final Fantasy Versus XIII on the 360 if it's announced as multiplat?

The same could be said for why people buy Bayonetta or Call of Duty on the PS3.

Some people just like to play shooters on the PS3, and some people like to play JRPG's on the 360. Outside the CG videos, the game is the exact same quality, so why not get it on 360 and join it with all the other great JRPG's this gen?

I think you misinterpreted my point. I did say most, maybe im wrong maybe not; anyway i didn't say it won't sell well due to preferences.
