Do you play Bfbc2 ? Inever camp I mostly use engeneer I mostly use the UMP 45. I NEVER played COD. I am not a huge FPS fan I played a handful of FPS in Multiplayer the past decade barely worth mentioning.

This "Camper" problem didnt existed to me . I hear this term only on the Internet.

I will tell you how to literally TRASH campers of any kind in battlefield. Guys who sit the whole time in one spot are the main reason why I have 500 Dogtags in 3 months playing Bad Company 2.

Ok lets start without help from your squad if you play rambo style: You need to have a good knowledge of the map ofcourse also some experience how the players behave. Thats all part of the first hours learning process. After you aquired this knowledge its easy as pie to determin where other players are after you saw the the kill cam and the weapon you have been killed. If you get killed you can see from which direction the shot came. The weapon tells you how far he was away. Shotgun means not too far. If a Rifle was used you can see if he was far or near with the speed your energy was drained. Sniper can be everywhere. The Killcam shows background in a lot of cases you see minor details that specify even further were he was. Like destruction of bushes trees walls certain builduings certain views you can see only from certain places.

Those informations combined with the direction and the distance the shoot came from helps a lot to know the position. Even when you saw nothing you can often guess which places he was.

If you are not sure make a sweep of the area you think he might be. Thats ofcourse easier in conquest. After a while you can easily figure out how to approach enemies from behind. It all depends on the situation ofcourse. Take Tanks if possible and destroy the best hidding places before you even clash with the first enemy. I automatically mow down forests and houses with the tank while when its possible. Also MARK the campers once orange they are practically dead.

Call Airstrikes if you suspect there might camp someone they usually start running once they hear the sound of the bombs. When they leave their cover its easy to kill them. Blast holes in walls destroy houses with tanks helicopters C4 (Jets).

If you have a squad people usually SAY there is a camper behind this tree.

Chanbe the map that makes it easier to identify the places through the view you get. Listen to footsteps or shouts like granade good job etc that makes it super easy to know if people are around. Look at your team mates and where the arrows of them disappear that means there is someone.

I did not play BF 3 yet since I am still at 56%.

I can say you one thing in Bad Company 2 its your own fault if campers kill you. Everybody is mostly moving in Bad Company 2 because you SUCK while standing still. You get no objective points and almost no kills only to get knifed down by someone. Rush is the better mode for campers because everyone is cramped in one place. But through marking and vehicles its no big task.

I know that surprise kills frpm campers are usually annoying but its easy to counter it on any map in BC2.

From 5 times someone kills me its 1 time a camping guy who dies usually a few seconds later. Often by knife.

I heard this map is very Cod like and rush is better for campers but once the full game releases soon everybody learns to stay on the move and avoid siting to long in one space. Soon everybody knows the places were the snipers/campers are.

I know before starting a game were the camper are going to hide. I sometimes trash those campers by the shots I fire unconciously while driving a tank.

Sure sometimes you do have to suffer But its often your own or your teams fault if they succeed with that tactic. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your KD to push your team to win.

I say it here. Camping is a LEGITIMATE tactic in BF. There is nothing wrong with it. I do everything to win the game. Yes I base rape too and spawn kill in conquest. You never know how good your enemy is or who is going to join the other team. If you give them just one minute time to breath they turn the game around and you are beeing spawn killed.

Also only moving cleverly over the map does not help always you should spawn with your squad most of the time a camper or enemy just kills one and the other one kills the camper and you can spawn seconds later in the same place.

Bf3 is a team game and camping is a broken tactic that works only in maps with undestructible walls and 12 Rambos running like headless chicken over the map doing everything alone. There are so many ways to counter any attack. I personally have no problem with campers but with Kamikaze C4 Snipers thats really annoying although a solvable problem.

Sometimes you are unlucky and just cant do anything but thats life you dont have always the power to overcome every obstacle.

"where the first guy that shoots always gets the kill."

I understand where you are coming from but after my experience this is not the case (not even in HC mode). Actually it has to do a lot with skill. People often forget recoil and cant kill you from a mid range distance repeated bursts are sure kills if. If your opponent shot you first by pressing R1 constantly you often have time to turn into the direction he shot you and kill him if you run out of ammo just switch to the handgun dont bother reloading your weapon.

Jump around if its a close encounter try to knife him down. You have to be fast and its by far not the first guy who shoots especially if you use shotgun you will be the winner in 8 out of 10 accidental run ins with one player of the other team.

It is skill that decides everything if not my KD and speed I aquire pounts in Bad Company would have slowed down but I improve in every point with more experience my stats are getting better every week.

Skill is what counts in BF. A little luck and your squad/team are also important. But skill is the determining factor for pretty much every situation. Different maps demand different skills ofcourse.

I was talking about Bc2 but I played the beta of BC2 and I didnt bother buying the game until BF3 was announced to get used to the Dualsticks. And BC2 turned out to be totally different and way better then expected. I dont know how the beta is yet but I am sure the final game is going to be good.

PS: BC2 graphics improved significantly between beta and the final game.
