Do all you pro-lifers think the Earth is flat and 6000 years old? I also heard the sun revolves around the earth.
It's ironic how these right wingers say that "abortion is taking a life" while they are constantly taking life from people by not supporting stem cells. Logical fallacy.
The Earth is far too over-populated as it is, I wouldn't want to bring a child into this world, and I never will. I refuse to let my selfish need for a nuclear family interfere with the stability of our world.
Also, it must be noted that human offspring are no greater or of more importance than any other mammalian offspring, why all this special treatment? |
No I'm an Atheist, vegetarian and I believe in science. And I never heard of stem cell but if it can save lives without having dangerous effects it should be accepted. And some countries are over populated but some are still having much space (Canada as example). I think the only thing that should be done is encouraging protection even more and educate teens (and even kids since they seem to do it). It is because of some conservative people that it is not done and it's a shame... So all of this to say that you are far too judgemental and quit using steriotypes, it makes you look like an ignorant fool. |
I was going to let this slide until you decided you were going to call me ignorant. You think overpopulation has anything to do with space? That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard.
Of course I am judgemental, the world has far too many things wrong with it, and most of them stem from using ancient belief systems which are so clearly outdated, yet because they are the widely accepted beliefs, no one seems to want to do anything about it.
You need to self-educate yourself a bit more before you start spewing about ignorance.

Space has to do with over population, 103 people/km² vs. 1 person/km² really isn't the same. The first is overpopulated the second isn't. And what I meant by some places still have space is that there is still space for population. Yes the world is faulty, I agree with you with that, but what do you expect? The world can't be perfect, it is deusional to think it will. We sure can make it better though. So tell me, what's better in your opinion, people educated about sex and protecting themselves or killing many living things? |
Overpopulation has alot more to do with resources, food, water, energy, and the environment (pollution etc.), rather than land consumption. If land was the biggest problem we had we could just move everyone out of impoverished 3rd world countries to Canada and everything would start fixing itself.
I don't think the world will ever be perfect, I never said I expect it to be. There are many ways to improve our current world, we have the resources and abilities to put some of these things into action, but the biggest obstacle we have to overcome is our belief system.
Edit: Interesting to note, you could fit the entire worlds population in the state of texas, with each person having 1000 square feet of land.
