Yeah, it kinda sucked. The monster scenes were cool, but the vast majority of the screen time is devoted to a bunch of terrible actors pretending to be terrified New Yorkers. If you're going to use the whole discovered footage conceit, it helps if the dialogue doesn't sound like dialogue. Especially bad, poorly-delivered dialogue.

It looks good in stretches (which probably add up to all of ten minutes), but there's never a single moment where you care about the characters or actualy believe that this is happening on any level. It's a waste of a really cool monster. I'm starting to believe that Lost is fantastic despite JJ Abrams, and not because of him.
