I definitly believe in secret societies. While I feel some of it is blown out of proportion like some of that illuminati nonsense, all you have to do is google "the builderberg group" to realize organizations like this are out there. And in the case of builderberg, they're not even really trying to hide the fact anymore.
If you know your history, as well as just general human behavior, then the prospect of secret societies is pretty much a given. I mean, if these people of power have the ability to form a secret society, thus gaining even MORE power and influence, and could get away with it without getting caught, you best believe many people will do it. The concept of "morality" or ethics or whatever you want to call it ALWAYS takes a backseat to power and wealth. Hell, wouldn't YOU take any means to gain more wealth, even if it meant being unethical/bending the rules if you knew you wouldn't get caught?
The people in power do what they want, period. Always have, always will.
