@arcane_chaos, for me, act 1 felt like the beginning of Star Wars Episode 3. It looked pretty and it was enjoyable but it was too intense, too soon. I really liked when they slowed things down and did things from Cole and Baird's point of view. One of my favorite parts of the entire game was when Cole said, "You ever get the feeling you died and nobody told you?" The look on his face when he remembered how life used to be--that made the game for me.
The game had a four player co-op campaign (which I haven't tried, yet.). Just knowing that was the case made me a bit nervous. Four player c0-op meant that Epic had to find a way to keep four players occupied throughout the whole game. That meant lots and lots of things to shoot instead of the quiet moments that I like most about the campaign. I'm glad it worked out as well as it did. It was much better than I could have hoped.
Hey! Why the heck is the Locust queen a human!?
