Everyone usually learnes from their mistakes! Microsoft learned from the original xbox, Playstation and Microsoft learned from the wii motion type stuff. People in America in particular seem to love action and FPS games, so of course Sony was going to follow suit. I just hope that Nintendo can learn from their lessons as well.
I have a brother who has been in jail like 6 times, he is one of those who does not learn.

Why does Nintendo need to learn? They stuck to there guns this Gen and it was very successful for them.

Because for the core gamer it was nothing but shit games. Sure you had the shining light such as Galaxy 1 and 2, but other than that it was just a buncha rehashes or another gimmick or shovelware game. They ended up alienating the core and now they even dropped to the point of being close to the PSP WW. It was a complete missed opportunity considering the potential with motion controls. Someone better not even say they would be in the same scenario had they not implemented motion controls cuz then they would just be smoking crack. Zelda should have at LEAST come out last year as that is one of their higher selling core titles not named Mario. On one side you have Muramasa, NMH, Red Steel 2, Twilight Princess (port), NSMBW, DKC: R, but on the other you have crap like cooking mama, and Wii Fit....seriously? A person with half a brain would buy on ebay some Richard Simmons DVD for cheaper and get a better work out, and you have better tutorials and sims for cooking out there for cheaper. True it's a good idea to go after the blue ocean, but it's imperative to transition them into your more serious first party efforts such as your Mario games and the like.

Nintendo came from 2 gens, 1 more atrocious than the other where they were absolutely crushed no less than 2.5-5-1, yet with arguably more powerful systems, to this gen where they have beat out their competition but steadily losing marketshare by the week. Once the cloud settles people realize they get more value from the 360 and/or PS3 with more support ranging from 1st to 3rd party. Sony was never this lazy when they were in first, and I am sure M$ would be similar if they would be in that position, but Nintendo just became outright lazy. Here's hoping that Skyward Sword can at LEAST have a quality similar to ALTTP or my fav Majora's Mask.

OT: Sad that Uncharted was shaped to be different than what was in ND's minds, but at least they kept the personalities colorful and the gameplay solid. I'll still take Uncharted over Gears any day. After Gears 1, I got tired of playing characters that moved like tanks, for that I'll go back and play RE1-3.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
