Console wars? Skyrim vs. Dark Souls??? 2: Why would anyone who isn't even (a) being silly or (b) trying to get clicks/publicity want to compare two games that aren't even remotely similar, except for, superficially, setting? |
And how would they be so different? They are both action RPG. Both use a medieval theme. Both have dragons. Both have character classes. Magics, weapons, healing items and all that kind of stuff is there. Both let to cumstomize the character when levelling up. Both have an open world, although Skyrin's one is supposed to be fully open. And both will be exceptional. To me it is like to discuss about Uncharted vs Tomb Raider.
Then it happens that Demon's/Dark Souls is a new IP and many that played Demon's Souls just hope for it to be very successful. To be honest it is the only game that introduced innovative concepts, at least in the online playing: onine blended into the single player campaign. It can be turned off and on signing out and in the PSN (or XBLA now). It kinda feel transparent to the player. I liked a comment I've read in a site: Forget about graphics. This [the DS online mode] IS the next generation of gaming.
