Alot of game reviewers claim gams to be hard. When me nd my friends dont find them hard per se. Challenging yes, but to say poor Xbox players is rediculous. Xbox players are hardcore players in general. OT of Demon Souls over Oblivion, I put in about 250 hours into Oblivion. If Demon Souls can do that then I'm there. I'll wait though based on my friends description of the game. Much more games I'm interested in than DS right now. Story is great and all, but RPG's should be engaging on all fronts. And from what I understand theres better out there than DS. |
I can understand your opinion for like TES more, but your reasons are questionable.
You say 'you and your friends' don't find the game hard. This statement is fishy because you implied that you have never played Demon's Souls when you said you had no time for the game. When he said poor Xbox players, I'm pretty sure he was just joking around. And I don't know what you mean when you say 'xbox players are hardcore in general'. You can take a look at sales and you'll see that the general xbox player is rather casual. Just like Ps3.
And while one can put more hours into TES, that doesn't mean it's a better game. Some of the best RPG's out there are only 30-40 hours per playthrough. Mass Effect will likely be in that range, yet you still say you're hype for it. You've shown that you care more about the quality of a game rather than the length so I don't know why you're using length as a factor against DS.
And then you say a game should be engaging on all fronts, yet you praise TES even though it's known to have a problem with reptition. Yet you use it against DS by saying length is a factor even though you're a huge fan of Mass Effect even though that's known to be relatively short.
