i loved it too,the only complaint i have is they left the movie with plenty of plot holes....sequel?

I wouldn't call them plot holes - a plot hole is a logical inconsistency in a story. One of the most famous is in Citizen Kane, in which the entire film is spent trying to decypher Kane's dying words, despite the fact that Kane was alone when he died, so no one could know what they were.

What we do get is a lot of unanswered questions (what else from JJ Abrams?). Given the way this universe has already expanded through the viral campaign (such as Slusho), and that such details barely impact on the film, I suspect there is a plan to expand this story. Cloverfield is almost a prologue to what may end up a kick ass giant monster franchise (though old Clover* himself seems to lack the charm of Gojira, Gamera, Kong, or even Jurassic Park's T-Rex). The question then is do they continue to approach it in novel ways or do they take a more traditional approach?

*No, Clover is not the monster's actual name. At the moment he doesn't seem to have one. I figure this'll work for the time being.
