1. Sigh I really don't want to do this because it's such a horrible but Call of Duty sells more then Monster Hunter and Vita is getting one of those. Obviously they both have advantages of that but you only listed a single one in favor of the 3DS. 2. PSV still has more. 3. Keyword ENHANCED you didn't mention anywhere that psp games would be suprior on the psv then the psp (second analogue usable) 3a. Still not a con, just less of a plus. Not even the 360 is 100% BC. 4. Again hate to do this but Call of Duty. |
1) Call of Duty may sell a lot more than Monster Hunter, but I don't believe it moves systems all that well compared to MH. Also, Monster Hunter 3G and 4 are exclusive to the 3DS, while Call of Duty is available on pretty much all systems. I believe most people will be buying the console version to play at home, rather than buy a portable one for CoD.
2) Not all of the games will likely be released. Games may be cancelled, released and sell poorly, or just downright suck. It might be like the PS2 or Wii; it may be very popular, but you're going to have to wade through some crap to find the gems.
3) My list is not final and I edit it here and there. When I initially wrote the list of PROs and CONs, I simply mentioned the wide assortment of games available on PSN, which I lumped together all the Minis, PSN games and PSP ones.
3a) You don't see a problem with the fact that all PSP physical games will be useless with the Vita? It's considered backwards compatible with PSP games, but only those that are in digital form. I wouldn't be happy to spend $250 on a Vita at launch, then another $100 on a memory card, and even another $100 to get downloadable versions of 5-10 PSP games that I own UMDs of.
4) Nintendo's first party titles clearly sell a lot, especially Mario and Pokemon. While I don't recall any announcement of a Pokemon for the 3DS yet, there are two Mario titles coming out in the fall/winter. Compared to those kinds of Nintendo titles, Sony's first party ones don't sell as much (some do have great legs).
