Personally, I'm not interested in Skyrim, but there's no denying that it will be an awesome game. More importantly, the two games will be dissimilar to the point where any comparison is ridiculous.
That said: I think the kind of articles exhibited here is mostly about giving publicity to a game that has far less hype surrounding it than Skyrim and that by comparing the two, games sites think they can increase the sales of a game they believe deserve it. That kind of writing is just something you have to get used to in the bloggy web media. It's not "biased" as much as it is "sensationalist". It gathers clicks, and because it gathers clicks, I think we can expect more of it.
