i'd rather play Agarest 2 instead because it looks amazing, but yeah, i thought supporting Compile Heart by buying it isnt a bad thing.

since i know what ill get (the same kind of Game that agarest 1 was), i think ill have fun with it, but did someone else here play it? If so, what were your thoughts?

Yes Agarest 2 looks awesome, i hope they bring that one to NA. Agarest Zero is more of the same, same DLC type weapons/armor, battle system remains for the most part the same. But what i liked about it this go around was instead of 5 generations of really grinding it out with so many wife choices, this one was narrowed down to 2 generations, more streamlined in a sense that way. There was a nice DLC dungeon at the end of the game for grinding purposes as well.

What i really liked about Zero was the dungeon change they made. In the original one last year, it was a free roaming field map with constant random encounters while searching for chests. In Zero, the dungeon map is also more streamlined in a sense where your moving from point to point for battles just like the main map. One direction in the dungeon, fight battle, move on with the story or the other direction, fight battle and afterwards the system automatically gives you the treasure from that location. Also, if you get in trouble, you can pop out of the dungeon very easily and regroup which was very hard to do in the first game.

There is also bonuses for money, pp, etc for carrying over your clear data from the first game which is a nice perk. They have a genesis version of the original on the disc so you can re experience the story of the first game as well.

I beat the game with the crappy ending, won't give any spoilers but of course in these games, there is always a "True" route and another route which seems like i always take accidently. lol   I haven't went back yet to do the true ending though, some day.

Oh and here's a treat as well for the scenes, after so many battles/conditions are met, you get vacation day points which sets up scenes for character approval rating +/- type that Agarest usually goes for. There is also some wacky sexual humor like always. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but i enjoyed the game, hmm probably more so then the first.
