I know some dude on gaf was pretty pissed about this. He figured he'd never get unbanned and bought a new 360, then he suddenly ended up getting unbanned.
I guess this being a good or bad thing really depends on how you reacted to the initial ban. If you waited things out a bit, everything returns to normal. If not, you could potentially be out a lot of money.
Or maybe some people used this as an excuse to get another console (wii, ps3, etc.) and now have two! That'd be pretty cool.
