Selnor is right - Acts 1 & 2 are good, acts 3 - 5 are pretty freaking amazing.

I'm excited now. I played through the first act and very beginning of Act 2 with my friend the other night, and we both think this campaign is insane compared to the first two games. I think we've died like 10 times or so, each one a different way by a different enemy. The story hasn't gone anywhere yet, but that's pretty unimportant when the gameplay is as awesome as it is here.

What difficulty are you playing on?

I tried to play INSANE yesterday with some friends (they were playing hardcore, I was playing Insane), and man, it was crazy, insane, HARD!  No, DBNO, straight to death.  Yikes.

Hardcore right now. I've been really getting abused. I got picked up and ripped and half by one of the lambent, slow roasted by the one whose tentacle arm can survive and squirm on the ground, and blasted into pieces with a one shot while trying to revive my friend. I don't remember dying this much in Gears 2, but most of my deaths so far have been hilarious, and I can't wait to see what ways I can die tonight.
