This is an interesting opinion, not because I'm trying to say you are wrong, as you are entitled to your own opinion, but only asking: you have personally travelled to Texas and found Texans to have a "Fuck You" attitude?

my company services the power and oil industries which puts me in texas about 3-4 weeks a year.  as chance would have it i'll be in houston all of next week.

And so your assessment of the entire state, based upon your spending 3-4 weeks a year here are that we are all self-centered and compassionless?

Look I can dig that you don't agree with the Death Penalty or that you don't like/want to live in Texas, THESE are totally understandable feelings/beliefs.  To demonize the people of an entire state because your political views are different though...  Really?  

That's all I'm really challenging you on though - that assessment.  Whatever your personal beliefs/politics are, they are yours and I wouldn't try to disuade you from them.

perhaps you misunderstood what i wrote earlier.  i'm not making judgments based on 3-4 weeks a year.  i'm making comarisions between those 3-4 weeks a year and the 3-4 weeks i spend in other parts of the US, the 3-4 weeks I spend in europe, and the 2-3 weeks in asia.  the lack of respect i find in texans (especially when on a professional level) is why i'm glad i don't live there.
