I'm looking into a smart phone for business. I have been told by game developers I have talked to that I need an I-Phone 5 this winter. They said the new iOS will be different then the last one. They also said that there will be games made for I-Phone 5 exclusively meaning they won't work on I-Phone 4 or Android devices.
Honestly I was thinking of getting an HTC Android since I heard they make the best Android phone on the market. With Android having a larger market share then Apple I thought that software would be more prevalent on their phones. However after talking to several developers at PAX I realized that the leading gaming phone is I-Phone and I-Phone 5 will be the next big phone to have.
So obviously if all the developers say I need one, then I guess I need one. I've never had a smart phone before because in all honesty I never cared to use a phone for gaming, writing notes, surfing the web etc...etc.. But with the way businesses work these days I need to be connected 24/7 and a regular txting phone isn't going to cut it.
What do you guys think, should I get I-Phone 5 like the developers say or the best Android I can get? I'm leaning heavily towards 5 because if I am going to cover and report on the games industry I need to be able to play all their latest products.
