I have been wondering this for quite a while. Facebook's predecessor, Myspace, although not officially dead, but in all reality is dead de facto had quite a run from August 2003 until Obama killed it in 2008 with his presidential run, which made such great use of Facebook in $5 donations that the publicity took all the thunder from Myspace. Essentially killing it.
I would vote for "not soon enough" as some have already stated. As soon as I learn how to delete my profile, I am done with Facebook.
