Hopefully it's going to be phased out. This whole motion control thing is all but dead. The casual people who made it huge are long, long gone. In another few years the industry will be back in our hands, the hardcore gamers, and imo that's a GOOD thing.

That's a pretty shortsighted thing to say.. Motion is here to stay, just like the joystick, trigger buttons, and vibration. It's a natural progression of the gaming controller. That's not to say every game/genre works better with it, but some definitly do, and the ones that do will obviously continue to use it.

If you want the industry back in the "hands of the hardcore," you're basically saying you want the market of gaming confined to a small niche and to never expand. Not exactly a good thing to me. Besides, the tastes of the self proclaimed "hardcore," for my money, tends to be very poor. They like games that rely heavilly on cinematics and linear gameplay and complex control schemes. They also usually go for the same bland FPSs and RPGs. Bleh.. Not the direction gaming should go.
