In every case involving the death penalty, there will be no way of knowing if the verdict was indeed true. With thousands of trials going on the legal system makes many mistakes. People fall victim to many tragedies in life. So perfection can never be expected. I would rather see 200 guilty men die for their evil deeds while having one innocent man die than let murders continue to clog our prison system. If the system was refined and it took less time and less trials to finally sentance a person to death than it would be better than keeping the worst criminals alive and wasting resources.
