Right before GTA4, expect a $50 price drop. Except for the Arcade, which will be at $250.
The Core and Elite are fighting the PS3 right now. MS should do what it needs to steal any GTA4 fans from the PS3. Having the entry model be a $100 below the PS3's entry model will make the choice obvious. Add the exclusive content on top and you will seal the deal.
The Arcade isn't going to drop under the Wii's price. No point really. Either consumers know there's only one console to play WiiSports on or they'll just grab whichever console is on the shelves. Which will be the Arcade, since the Wii is always supply constrained.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
