After 34 witnesses testified in his trial, 7 black jurors and 5 white jurors found him guilty and sentenced him to death. His case has been seen by over a dozen different judges and his conviction was consistently upheld. Of the witnesses who have changed their stories, the majority claim that they couldn't positively identify Troy Davis as the murderer not that they saw someone else do it; and the other 25 witnesses still claim that Troy Davis is the shooter.

While you can argue whether he should be executed or not, based on readily available information it is understandable why his conviction is being upheld; and the questioning of the conviction seems to be based on half-truths that have been spread by the media.
