Frostbite 2 that is used on B3 is not that far more power hungry (depends on who you listen to) than the original. I think that you should be able to happily run the game somewhere between medium setting and high (max). As usual buy the game and see how it goes before you read to much into specs (which companies like Nvidia and AMD love as it gets a few people to go out and upgrade to the recommended card without thinking) but I am sure you already know this. My rig surpasses the recommended specs but still undecided on which platform to get it on, console or PC. |
Pretty much. The CPU and RAM should be enough for a while but I haven't kept track of all the cards released lately. Thanks for the info.
If you have a lot of friends on consoles then it might be better to go for the console version, which is something I do for most of the time. I generally dont care about the looks as long as the game is fun. However, it seems BF3 will use all the power available in modern PC's. Plus it has 64 player online which sealed the deal for me.
