The only way I see Uncharted 3 scoring lower is if, somehow, Uncharted 2 was so far beyond Uncharted 1 that it boosted Uncharted 2's scores insanely high (there was much to improve upon from Uncharted) and, with Uncharted 3, the improvement isn't as pronounced. Even then, a majority of reviewers will have to feel that Uncharted 3 is "more of the same."

But that's what I don't agree with. Some series get stale over time and seem like cash-ins. You can feel that the developers are just chasing a pay day. Games like Uncharted and Gears seem like labors of love. The developers go out of their way to improve the experience, push graphics, and satisfy their fanbase. Of course, the can't just change the core mechanics or the people that once loved the series will be alienated. So when reviewers say something like, "This is the action game equivalent of a yearly sports game update.", it infuriates me. What exactly where they expecting?
