And people whose eyesight isn't perfect aren't going to notice the imperfections of existing technologies as much as the cost of new technologies. No one buys a HD movie player that only has a SDTV, where's the logic in that? Those who have HDTVs easily notice the difference between a upscaled DVD and a Blu-ray. Frankly I'm kind of tired of hearing a upscaled DVD is almost as good, its not even close the picture is far clearer and sharper, as well as the sound on Blu-ray
