If I took your advice I'd miss out on tons of console exclusive games. Unless you think it's feasable for everyone on the planet to switch to PC gaming in an instant, it makes sense to understand the reality of the industry, and hope for realistic things.

I think he's just trying to say that consoles are not designed for max graphics at the time in which they are released, if people are such graphic enthuists, they'd most likely have a high end PC, the talks of zomg console graphics is generally pretty silly tbh, I personally look past a lot of graphical flaws when I play console games because I know they are weaker, to be more precise, I was only impressed by Uncharted 2 so far as a game on consoles this gen, and it wasn't based on graphics alone, Uncharted 3 is looking to be better, but those 2 games are about it, good games will be good games, impressive games are better, graphics talk on consoles have always been silly after all these years for me.

Everyone knows what PCs are capable of though. Why is it wrong to wish consoles had better graphics? There is a reason we don't still play NES. People want new consoles to see their favorite games evolve, it's that simple. Buying a PC wouldn't do that for many. Also a simple thing to understand.

I still play NES games sometimes lol =P My idea is simple, get a good job, buy what you want, all of a sudden these talks become stupid, give you one, do I want Xenoblade on HD consoles or PC? Of course, but does it make it a worse game for being on Wii? fuck no! That game is still the best JRPG of this gen regardless of graphics, I even dare to argue that this game would not have been as good had it gone to a higher quality of graphics as a matter of fact. You want to see better graphics, but that doesn't mean devs can deliver the same quality of game, there has to be a balance, and not every studio can manage that, so what you end up with are a bunch of generic shit all over the place with middlewares or dying/dead studios all over the place. Graphics don't always make games better, something as weak as the Wii can produce games like Super Mario Galaxy 2 which I still consider the best console game of this generation. I've also clearly stated before that I only truly care about graphics on PC, for good reasons, you would not buy or build a good PC if what you are looking for is not graphics, unless of course, all you play are flash games, then just grab an Android phone or something.
