Totally, you select 'update' and it asks you if you wanna update via internet or other media, you click internet and click agree to T+Cs and it updates.

I agree it's not the largest issue, it's a minor one even, but pretending it doesn't exist is silly.

Pretty much.  Really, I could care less about the duration of time an update, patch, or installation takes.  PS3 updates typically take ~5 minutes for me, so yeah,  that's not an annoyance.  People who complain about such things, as if Sony's purposefully ruined your day, because you just HAD to game right then and there....well, that's more of an annoyance.  Wish there were addons for IE, Chrome etc... that could filter people like that out of my existence.
