Is SE killing the FF series? No.
Have they already killed it? Yes.
The FF series has been pretty dead since it came to the PS2. True, FFXI was a really good MMORPG but like Spririts Within, it really wasn't a Final Fantasy game. While JRPG's are still alive, they aren't the powerhouse they once were, especially on consoles.
