There's no reason to believe that it is any different this time. There needs to be a better source than forum goers to make this believable.

Hahahaha, I remember those. 

Quite frankly, the only negative point that DQIX had was the departure from the individual character roaster to a non-characteristic character class, so only the MC had it's own story (which made sense in DQIX's story), other than that it was a pretty amazing game, in a lot of aspects better than VIII. 

I believe we should wait to see more before we go judging a game beforehand, especially since it's easy to damage the reputation of any game nowadays with the typical forum act "opinion = fact"

A lot of rage was directed at the fairy who travels with you (and is also dumb as hell).

There were people complaining about that? What the hell?...It's not like all that she did was "Hey listen!".
