Gears of War 1(2006): 94/100 meta.
Gears of War 2 (2008): 93/100
Gears of War 3 (2011): 91/100 (currently)
3 games average 92.6 %
Uncharted 1 (2007) 88/100 meta
Uncharted 2 (2009) 96/100
Uncharted 2 (2011) ?

Will Uncharted 2 be the pinnacle of the series? It remains to be seen. But, for those who think that Uncharted is the historically better series, Uncharted 2 definitely picked up the slack from Uncharted 1 an eight point higher meta-score. We'll soon see how Uncharted 3 holds up to it's predecessors soon enough.
What I'd like to see, after Uncharted 3 comes out, is a direct comparison. Certain sites will review Gears 3 and not ever review Uncharted (OXM, for example). Other sites will review Uncharted 3 and not Gears (OPM, for example). Is there anyone among us who would be willing to gather all of the common denominator reviews from sites like IGN, 1up, and Gamesradar? Even if it's not likely that the same reviewer will review both games, it would give us a more direct comparison.
