I agree but I think his point is Uncharted is generally viewed as the better franchise...I know I think it's better than Gears.
But of course that may change when I get to play both UC3 and Gears 3. The new Horde mode/Beast mode may win me over.

Uncharted is just a better received franchise, if the upward trend continues (or at least remains ahead by pure mathematics than Gears - although I prefer Gears, personally). However, for Uncharted to lose it must drop by quite a lot. For a franchise of it's caliber, it would be one of the biggest upsets in gaming history.
