In Japan or worldwide? Sony's projection means that they expect this to be its peak year worldwide, but in Japan it's going to be rather tricky. Once this weeks data goes up it will be down YOY by about 110k. To peak this year it needs to be up by about 280k. Thankfully the YOY comparisons from here on out are all relatively easy. PS3 was baseling around 20k pretty much from September through November last year, and then the holidays were extremely lackluster and its best week was only 73k. I think PS3 could maintain a baseline around 30k-35k per week from now to the holidays plus you'll have boosts to around 45k-50k on the weeks that the new colored PS3s and Ninokuni bundles come out. So theoretically PS3 could be up by about 30k-60k by the time the holidays start. Is it possible for it to gain 250k during the holidays? I would say that it's a distinct possibility since PS3's peak holiday week in 2009 was up by about 170k on its peak week in 2010.
