Yeah it's the end who would now buy an HD-DVD player?

Eh I would (if I didnt have two already) as Wal-Mart aint the only store in the world and irrespective of the fact blu-ray has won, HD-DVD players make for cheap but amazingly good quality upscaling DVDs, are much better featured than current blu-ray players (even though much cheaper), and there are of tons of movies already out on HD DVD which wont suddenly stop working cause blu-ray has virtually killed blu ray off.

This post is funny; the bolded section is my favorite part.

Oops.  Meant Blu-Ray has killed HD DVD off (obviously).  Other than that dont see whats so funny.

whats so funny is that you would still uy a HD-DVD player thats pretty stupid....

Enlighten me how that is pretty stupid?  Are people not still buying upscaling DVD players for up to a £1000.  Why on earth would I not consider buying a high quality upscaling DVD player for only £260 which as a bonus plays HD DVDs and there are already tons of HD DVD movies out already and until Universal and Paramount say they will no longer be supporting HD DVD there are still more that would be coming out in the future.  So I fail to see what is stupid about buying a HD DVD player (unless you are a die hard Sony lover).  That is even before we get to the point that you don't even know how much I earn so can't possibly form an opinion as to whether spending £260 on a gadget means nothing to me.
