I agree Nintendo need to make new IP's. Pikmin for Cube was soo good, that's why I bought my Wii. (also to make up for many ruined IP's on the cube, like Mario Kart and Super Mario). For the same reason as you I am skipping generations on the console in the belief that the 9th gen Nintendo console will be BC. fair
Nintendo handhelds are a different story, Nintendo really supports their handhelds with software. can't argue that.
Not sure about God of War, but one of the biggest games on a PS3 disk which weren't heavy CG ridden were Resistance and Resistance 2, both taking 35GB. I dunno why they take up so much space, but the load time in that game is much better then most PS3 games. I also know GT5 took 25GB, but that's only because they copied the game to make it run in 3D more smoothly. Meaning that 12.5GB are for the game, and 12.5GB are for the game in 3D. This is why there is a long delay when changing from 3D to 2D and back. Resistance 2 had big monsters and huge set peices. well scale would be the word Insomniac used
My 9 year old computer has a better processor, graphics card and RAM then the PS3. However the PS3 has multiple processors, and a dedicated graphics card. My point being PS3 tech is actually cheaper and older then you realize. Same with 360. i realize that, just was thinking Sony wouldn't have to be that drastic this time around. hell they could use that new IBM chip that acts like the brain considering they've worked with IBM on the cell!
