If anyone can enlighten me as to the difference of the two series's it'd help, always a franchise I've wanted to get into but never had a PSP and the Wii one just sort of passed me by. |
Im not so sure, the portable series was called such because at the time they were the only titles to appear on a portable gaming device, the main titles appeared on ps2/wii. The reason why they sold better then tri is because in japan they prefer playing such games on the go, so this MH4 will probably be just as successful as the portable series. Also the Vita's games list has been released highlighting most games that are in devlopment for the system and MonsterHunter wasn't on it. If a Vita title was in developement i dont kno why sony wouldn't have it there, so im guesing the portable series has now been replaced by the main franchise as it is now portable. Does that make sense?
