Xbox Australia today announced a price drop for the recommended retail price (RRP) of Xbox 360 with Kinect bundles.

From September 15, the RRP will drop $50 for both the 4GB and 250GB bundles, down to $399 RRP and $499 RRP respectively.

A new entry level console is also set to launch, with a standalone 4GB Xbox 360 priced at $249 RRP. It will come complete with a new Xbox 360 4GB console with built-in wi-fi, a black wireless controller, a standard definition composite A/V cable, and a free one-month Xbox LIVE Gold Membership.

“With families gearing up for school holidays they will be looking for ways to keep the kids entertained, and Kinect offers something that parents and their kids can participate in together," said Andy Coughlin, Retail Lead, Microsoft Australia. "We are pleased to now offer Xbox 360 and Kinect bundles at new lower prices, meaning Kinect and Xbox have never been more affordable."

A school holiday Xbox 360 event schedule has also been revealed as Xbox Australia takes the console and Kinect across the country. Check out the schedule below.
