Also I have to wonder how easy it will be to play this on the run. At home with the tablet on a stand it seems like a great idea. But say your on a plane or bus, your going to place the tablet on your lap then pull out a controller to play? I think it would be fairly difficult to play like that your controller would block your view. I think GameStop may have been smarter to launch a home console similar to OnLive. This tablet sounds like it will be difficult to play on the go. If GameStop focuses entirely on games and that controller they will have a major uphill battle against other tablets that offer way more services. However if they have their exclusive streaming service and figure out a way to make it easy to play on the run then they could have a hit. I like the idea, I'll have to be convinced that GameStop can pull this off. At the moment I think a tablet may have been the wrong choice a portable games console or a home console may have been smarter. Then again GameStop couldn't just stop carrying handhelds and home consoles, but with their tablet they can exclusively carry it instead of carrying other tablets or smart phones! |
I think that using the controler will be optional. I would assume that the games would come with touch controls like other tablet/iphone games.
