1] Also Japan is the weakest territory for all home console manufacturers, so I wouldn't expect strong sales there anyway. 2]When I say PS3 didn't do that well in Japan, it only sold 5 million more then 360. 3]Japan isn't a console loving territory, but it's something. 4]Besides 360 sales in Japan > X-Box 1. I think Nextbox can do a touch better. 5]As for FFXIII, I should have looked it up, I thought both games sold about 2 million outside of Japan. Regardless, FFXIII still did well on the 360, so it shows some 360 owners appreciate the JRPG genre games. |
1]Japan is just a small territory, Japan isn't the weakest territory for the Wii and PS3, only for the X360. Is South America counting for the Americas territory?
Japan: 127 million people, N-America: 529 million people (x4.2), Americas (N+S): 1.091 million (x8.6).
PS3 * N- America: 20.6 million * Japan: 7 million - (x4.2) = 29.4 million - (x8.6) = 60.2 million.
Wii * N-America: 41.8 million * Japan: 11,8 million - (x4.2) = 49.6 million - (x8.6) = 101.5 million.
X360 * N- America: 32.9 million * Japan 1.5 million - (x4.2) = 6.3 million - (x8.6) = 12.9 million.
Totals: N- America: 95.3 million * Japan 20.3 million - (X4.2) = 85.26 million - (x8.6) = 174.6 million.
2]5.5 million not 5 million.
3]It is, get your facts right. In 2 posts you're way more wrong then right. ;)
4]I don't think so, I think they shouldn't have pulled out the X360 in this stage.
5]1.8 million vs 4.7 million - 2.6 times more sales on PS3. Is there any other 4 million+ multiplatformgame this gen that has so much diferences in sales between PS3 and X360? Only Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has 2.11 more sales on X360.
