I own Conkers: Live and Reloaded, but I have yet to play it. What's wrong with it? From what I've seen it's just Conker's Bad Fur Day with upgraded graphics. its missing 99.% of the other multiplayer matches
Rare used to be a better company. Apparently most of the employees left Rare after MS bought them out and joined Crytek. No wonder Crytek is making some pretty damn good games nowdays. lol true. the thing is MS executives didn't want the now former owers input so they left and form'd a new company.
Forza is like GT. There are differences, but regardless to what other people say, they are both excellen sims. You probably won't notice a difference unless you put in over 50 hours each. The only real difference, and the reason why I prefer Forza is because Forza is designed more like a game. Cars are unlocked much much more easily in GT5. You can almost play every single cup using a different car. You can also rewind races, which is damn well appreciated when you start working on endurance races. GT encourages you to get 1 good car from each region, and with various layouts (AWD, Turbo, etc) and then tune them to win races. I prefer to drive multiple different cars then a select few, and it doesn't take long to drive dream cars in Forza. In fact, the very first race of Forza 3 is in an Audi R8 V10, and that race is done so they can reccomend a difficulty for you. yes they are but hell i've never really play'd either.
Too Human is a love it or hate it game. I know people who love it, I know others who hate it, and I know almost no one in between. IMO it's a great game, but unpolished (feels like some cinematic sequences, and characters are missing all together). ok
Also I agree with you on third party games. Look what happened to Mass Effect. However I still consider Gears of War as an exception because MS heavily funds the development of that game. they still fund ME?
However 3rd party is important. I'm big about JRPG's, and Sony/Nintendo haven't developed a good JRPG in 15 years or so (Paper Mario was the last good Nintendo JRPG, and The Legend of Dragoon for PS1 for Sony). So which systems get what JRPG's makes a big difference to me. I'm thoroughly dissapointed at how few JRPG exclusives PS3 is getting, and JRPG's alone I feel are reason enough to get a core 360. If next gen is like this one, like I said, I will get an MS system, but the arcade one. Mostly for these third party games and a handful of MS branded ones. i see. the lack of JRPG's this gen is unexceptable.
Yes I know, most of MS's exclusives have been timed in the past. I did say I would get a MS system next gen as a secondary system. I agree with you about third party games, you can't say you like Microsoft because of the third party games, but those third party games still can be reason enough to own a console. dito
Personally 360 exclusives are more catered to me. I like Sci-Fi Shooters, Racing Games and JRPG's. 360 has more, and better JRPG's then PS3 (at least ones I like, I'm not a big fan of Demon Souls). I prefer Forza over GT, and overall most will agree that Halo & Gears is better then Resistance & Killzone. well thats sells in my eyes and the winners in preference by sells is clear.
I know most people here are big PS3 fans, but except for Uncharted, GT, Killzone, Heavy Rain, and Valkyria Chonicles, there isn't too much on PS3 that interests me. Tales of Xillia is the first game that is making me want to buy a PS3 again. thats still alot of interest in comparison to just my 3 games for 360!
It's all a matter of preference. I prefer 360 just because it has the type of games I like, but most people here are different. I mean I can easily live without Uncharted or GT, but not without Gears or Forza. hey i can live without either if there not dedicated franchises which the 4 you mention'd are, but i still need more. get me to want your product before i buy and Sony has done it to gens straight while MS has my respect for wht they've done this gen. the original xbox is better IMO.
In all honestly, all 3 systems have their own great titles. Each system has at least 1 game you really don't want to miss. That's why I will eventually get all the systems (PS4 after a redesign, NextBox when prices crash, and a BC 9th Gen Nintendo). i think i'll stay way from Ninty next gen. the usual suspects just don't interest me anymore.

Multiplayer matches in Conker? yes the original had all kinds of multiplayer matches and the shooting was far better then any shooter wev've talked about so far. Is the single player still the same? a few changes here and there thats about all but that rock'd, but you have to deliver on the whol package.
Mass Effect 1 was published by Microsoft. Just prior to Mass Effects release Electronic Arts purchased Bioware, and EA published ME2. Since MS has some rights over Mass Effect 1, Bioware was not allowed to port ME1 to PS2. My point with Mass Effect was that third party companies can be bought out, or decide to make their game multiplatform alltogether. Although 1st party companies can be bought out too (take Bizarre Creations), but it's less common. ok
Gears of War, although 3rd party, I don't consider to be any different then Resistance for PS3. Insomniac is not a first party Sony company, they just agreed to develop Resistance for Sony. The only difference is Resistance is a Sony IP, where Gears is Epic, but I really don't see a Gears of War coming out on PS3. I put Gears of War in the same boat as 1st party exclusives, MS won't let their second best selling franchise go multiplatform. I guess this is probably more like MGS then Gears, but I still count it as a solid exclusive. not PS3 but PS4? i never count anything out and don't expect a GEARS 4 on current gen consoles which i'm sure you don't lol.
Actually, there are just as many JRPG's this gen as any prior gen, they are just more spread out. X-Box only had a FFXI port come to it, and Gamecube had 2 JRPG's (off the top of my head, Paper Mario and Tales of Symphonia). Last gen PS2 had all the JRPG's. Now this gen Wii is getting XenoBlade, Last Story, and Dragon Quest X, 360 got Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, and Infinite Undiscovery, and PS3 got Valkyria Chronicles and Demon Souls. I don't think there are particularly any less JRPG's this gen then in others. i see
I know I'm interested in a handful of PS3 exclusives, I'll admit that, but before Tales of Xillia, there wasn't anything I could live without. Heavy Rain and Valkyria Chronicles are probably the only must have PS3 titles for me. There are more must have titles on the Wii for me then PS3.
understandable
For 360, except for Fable, all the big hyped exclusives are my types of games. Basically for me Gears, Halo, Forza, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia (so far), and Mass Effect are much bigger games then any PS3 exclusive, and then Alan Wake, Too Human, Infinite Undiscovery, and Dance Central are about as interesting as Uncharted, GT, Resistance, etc. lol ok your not giving much to argueabout
Anyway, both systems are good, our debate has really changed. I will likely get a PS4 over a next-box simply because I'm tired of unreliable US products. 90% of the games are multiplatform anyway, I can hold out a bit for the next Forza and Halo. i agree
Your view on MS is my view on Sony for software. Last gen Sony got all the third party exclusives and really made me want a PS2. Gran Turismo was better (for the time), Twisted Metal was good, and GTA was a platform exclusive! This gen Sony has lost all their third party exclusives, and yes they have tried to make a few first party ones, but feel MS did a better job securing exclusives (1st and 3rd party). i can see that being an influence.
As for your last comment, I'm on the same boat. Nintendo rarely makes a new IP, NOA won't ever localize any great Japanese games, and a lot of their old IP's remain unaltered. I think for Nintendo home consoles I will likely skip generations, so I won't get a Wii U, but I'll get whats next. I need an updated Mario Kart at least once a decade, and some of Nintendos games are just phenominal (Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong, Metroid Prime, Smash Bros, etc). agreed
