So your not really right in saying that none of those upgrades were needed. If you wanted the full experience you would have to have one of the later models. 2nd point, touch screen for camera controls range from meh to suck. sticks are way better for that. Mario64 had decent camera control, but games like KH sucked hard and FPSs just sucked in general in this department on DS. PSP fared no better, wasnt until MOH that they somehow figured it out, it was still meh camera control, but at least it was mostly playable. im not saying its totally needed, but would have worked better if it had a 2nd stick 3rd point, i see your one of those "those games should not be on handhelds". thats a load of crap, what were YOU playing on GB?? Mario, FFlegends, Tetris, Zelda, Pokemon, are those not just small black/white versions of games you played on NES?? Except for Pokemon which is a JRPG and you dont get more "console" than that. Christ!! GBA best selling games were ports or updates of SNES games. Which were console games. Sony just took it to the next level, where Ninty handhelds were gens behind their consoles, SOny made one that could come damn close to their home system at the time. 3Ds is going for the same. Someone look at Ninty's or anyone else's old handhelds and show me games that should have not been made. By that logic, the GB library would have been REALLY small |
Not to forget that it's hassle/frustration to be moving with ur right and touching the screen with your left hand. I can't believe some people are so oblivious about the benifits of including a circle pad. On the contary, it would improve many games and provide a whole varity of them. It's pratically the reason why the 3DS has so many N64 ports instead of Gamecube ones.
I tottally agree with you.
