Viruses/Humans/Plants/Animals/Insects mutate all the time. 99.99999% of all mutations are not beneficial for the organism anyway. We are using viruses already in medicine. Their abilitys are neccessary for the future aslong as we dont have nanobots. They could repair the genom of humans one day make them young again increase their lifespan cure cancer. Not only as delievery system but they have the ability to overwrite humans DNA in all reproducing cells and cure tons of illnesses. Thats what Viruses do they go into your cells and overwrite your DNA in a way to trick your cell into producing more viruses. Sure its decades away until we have enough knowledge to use them, but the progress in medicine would be a quantum leap. |
For me its more of hoping than actually believing, I want that happen so for once in my pathetic life I can finally have something exciting and die a glorious death.
My friendly neighbour also wants it to happen so the scientists will be stopped from playing god and experimenting on bunnies, but he doesn't know about my plan to blow his head off as soon as it happens and claim he's a zombie when being questioned.
Edit: And I'm not even joking, I'm absolutely serious about everything I just said.
