i'm not talking about multiplayer, multiplayer never make a game, since the newest games often have the best multiplayer even if their single player parts are crappy.


really ???? I'm pretty sure you take out multiplayer out of the top selling FPS and the IP is dead or close to it.... multiplayer is one of the most important element to certain category of gaming now a day.... and still that was just one more layer you missed out.... what made halo a classic of XB is mostly there multiplayer same with blackops, and GoW....
then again to me with your def of linearity.... your non linear exemple are biased.... I found them as much linear if not more.... the real question at the end of the day is do you like the game you play or not.... not how much they are linear or not.... you have good ones on both side depending on what you expect and or like
