If you increase corporate taxes then they will just lay off more people, reduce wages, or increase the price of the goods they provide. Sure, I am against corporations raping and pillaging the countryside but to just target them would just pass the price to the consumer. There are better ways to address the entire economy then just going after the corporations considering the corporations would just pass the final cost onto their consumers. Then you still have a big mess of lobbyist for each different sector of business trying to get the tax reduced for their sector. So you would be back to square one. Lobbyist controlling the politicians by giving them campaign money to get special tax breaks for whatever industry they represent. If you got rid of all corporate taxes then there would be far less lobbyist. The lobbyist are very big problem of America considering politicians rarely care what actual people care about (unless it is election time then they will fake care) and mainly focus their legislative efforts to helping out the various lobbyist that contributed to their campaign.
