Sony - Why I hate Sony... - View Post

I don't really hate them but I just want to get this off of my chest:

Where the F**k are all of the PS1 games on the PSN?  They release update after update for all of their other games, shove DLC down our throats, but only release a PS1 game once every two weeks.  One game, that generally, is not that great.

If Sony would just release FFVII on the PSN, I would have an orgasm.  I would be the first to download and buy it, and all would be right in the world.  But they refuse to release more than one of the 8,000 PS1 games out there every two weeks.

Why can't they do it?

Nintendo releases three every week, so even if you don't like any that week, you have three more to choose from the next week.  With PS, you get one every two weeks, that you generally don't like, and have to wait two more weeks for another one that you won't like.

It can't be about licensing or anything, as Nintendo is releasing games off of former rival platforms (Sega, Turbografx) and they're doing just fine.  And MS has a slew of old arcade, and regular games coming out with them on a regular basis.

While we're at it, can we get a PSN store revamp?  Stop making everything so frickin hard to find!

Total number of PS1 classics on PSN after 1 year:  under thirty

Total number of VC games on Wii after 1 year: 194 Wikipedia

Total number of games I have downloaded from PSN:  1 (Wild Arms)

Endless Frustration: Priceless

Please release more PS1 classics on PSN.
