The girls started screaming and one began crying. But we had no choice its kidnapping to hold onto a guy like that and since we knew the girls friends were going to kick the crap out of them we would have been accomplices.

When the girls refused to let us call the cops we let go of the two guys. The girls tried attacking them but we blocked them so the two guys could get away.

The real question is, why didn't the girls want the police involved? If what they said was true then the girl should have gone to the hospital for a rape kit and the two guys should have been arrested.

What do you guys think, should we have held onto those two guys till the girls boy friends arrived without involving police. Or did we do the right thing in releasing the two guys?

The reason for that is simple. No rape actually took place. As lesterdark said, those boys probably did something to annoy the girls, and they were using that rape story to get you to hold on to them. You did the right thing by letting them go.
