How did this topic end up about Palestinian's and Israeli's? Its supposed to talk about Libya's future.
Honestly the rebels giving the Gaddafi forces another week to surrender Sirte is foolish in my opinion. Its giving Gaddafi's forces time to entrench their positions and prepare for the coming attack. Giving them an additional week to prepare is foolish especially since its obvious that they aren't likely to surrender.
Also I am sure that Gaddafi is using this week to carry out an escape. I'm guessing he had retreated to Sirte and the surrounding towns under his forces control. Now they are probably out of danger and on their way out of the country, while his forces prepare their final stand.
I think there would be far less blood shed if the rebels had just continued their offensive and marched on Sirte. At least then they could have fought an unprepared scared army. But giving them two weeks to strategize and prepare a defence will make the task far more difficult and bloody assuming the Gaddafi forces don't surrender.
Also anybody alittle concerned by the fact the rebels haven't moved their headquarters to Tripoli yet? Media speculation is that they are afraid their are to many Gaddafi supporters their and fear for their lives. Fact is somebody needs to be running Tripoli and the rebels are supposed to govern. So they should be there.
What are your thoughts of the immediate future of Libya?
