Yep, my favorite part of Food Inc was the farmer that was gutting chickens outside with his workers. They tried to shut him down but then he had them test his chicken compared to the "normal" manufactured chicken and it contained way less harmful bacteria, etc.. (even after the manufactured chicken was given a bleach bath). Just goes to show that our entire food system is fucked up.
Mass production of food isn't the best way to go (especially for animals). Also, even when the industry is shown that they can fix something they tend to ignore it and look for another bullshit way to fix it (harmful e coli in cattle that can be shed if given the proper diet a few weeks before slaughter). Instead they keep feeding them corn which isn't what they are supposed to eat and try to find a new "scientific" way around the leaving the cow to stand in it's own/other cows' shit and eat malnutrition feed. You already know this from watching the film but I just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone else.
